James Garton

Real estate partner James Garton joined us from Berwin Leighton Paisner. James has significant real estate expertise including development, investment, real estate finance and landlord and tenant. He has many years’ experience of acting for investment funds and institutions, property companies and banks and for high-net-worth individuals and end users. He is accustomed to leading teams in relation to a range of high value real estate work which encompasses the acquisition of real estate portfolios and property aspects of structured finance products relating to the development, investment and securitisation of significant City developments. James also has expertise in project managing multi- jurisdictional real estate transactions.

Mark Baker

Mark is a real estate partner who has joined us from Berwin Leighton Paisner. Mark has experience in all aspects of real estate law, advising clients ranging from investment funds, property companies and banks to end users. He has particular experience in leading and managing cross-departmental teams on acquisitions for real estate portfolios and the property aspects of structured financing relating to the development, investment and securitisation of various City developments.

Joel Adler

Corporate partner Joel Adler is an experienced domestic and international corporate finance lawyer whose expertise includes mergers and acquisitions, real estate, international trust planning, establishment of investment funds and flotations of foreign companies on the London Stock Exchange, particularly on AIM. Joel’s client base encompasses a wide range of businesses within Europe and Israel, ranging from large multinational public companies to small entrepreneurial firms.

Luke Morris

Banking and Debt Finance partner Luke Morris has extensive experience in acquisition finance transactions, acting predominately for a wide range of private equity sponsors and various arrangers of acquisition finance. He also advises in connection with general debt finance matters including refinancings, recapitalisations and structuring, security and subordination issues.

Rachael Jordan

Planning assistant Rachael Jordan advises on all planning matters for a wide range of public and private sector projects, including major office, mixed use and residential schemes. She has previously worked for two London boroughs and has experience in dealing with the planning and environmental aspects of major property and corporate transactions as well as planning agreements, applications and appeals.

Thomas Morton

Thomas is a property litigator who qualified in 2005 and joined us from Fladgate Fielder at the end of 2006. He advises on property litigation issues, with particular expertise on disputes between landlords and tenants.

Emma Macintyre

Emma, who has come to us from Bond Pearce, specialises in property litigation and has acted in a wide range of disputes ranging from landlord and tenant matters, such as lease renewals, dilapidations and general property management advice, to advising on contractual disputes, misrepresentation, easements and trespass.

Ronan Daffey

Ronan has joined the real estate department as its first full time professional support lawyer. Ronan has a wealth of experience across the full range of real estate disciplines, having practised in the City of London for over 20 years.

Haidee Priday

Haidee has joined us from Nabarro as an assistant in the real estate team. Haidee has considerable experience in acquisition and disposal of investment properties, and development work including forward funding and management matters. She has particular experience in acquiring and redeveloping shopping centres.
