Mishcon de Reya announces two new partners

Mishcon de Reya is delighted to announce the election of two new members to the partnership - Melissa Lesson in the Family Department and John England in the Real Estate Department.   

These promotions bring the total number of partners in the Firm to 57.

Mishcon de Reya Managing Partner, Kevin Gold said:

"The additions to the partnership reflect the outstanding contribution of these solicitors, both to their individual departments and to the continuing growth of Firm as a whole.”  

Details of the new partners are as follows:  

Melissa Lesson   

Melissa joined Mishcon de Reya in 2000, contributing her training as a barrister to the Firm’s successful Family practice. She advises on separation and divorce, jurisdictional disputes and enforcement, ancillary relief and specialises in particularly complex, multi-jurisdictional cases involving significant assets.   Melissa graduated in 1997 in Law with French Law (LLB) from University College London along with a Diplôme d’Etudes Juridiques from Université de Paris II: Panthéon-Assas. Last year she was selected as runner up in the Spears Wealth Management Future Lawyer of the Year Award and was shortlisted in the Women of the Future Awards in The Professions Woman of the Future Category.  

John England  

John specialises in commercial property law. His area of practice includes the acquisition and disposal of investment properties, advising on the property aspects of secured lending, as well as advising landlords and tenants.   John, who joined Mishcon de Reya as an assistant in 2004, acts for a range of clients including institutional investors, private property companies, property funds, offshore private trusts, banks, retailers and other occupiers.
