Mishcon de Reya advises ACP Capital on its renewable energy partnership

Release Date: 15 April 2008

Mishcon de Reya advised ACP Capital Infrastructure (the launched subsidiary of ACP Capital Limited) on the establishment of ACP Capital NextEnergy Initiative Limited (“ACPNE”), a platform for the acquisition and development of renewable energy assets in Italy and Southern Europe.

ACPNE received initial equity commitments of €50 million from ACP Capital, Michael Bonte-Friedheim and Stefano Sommadossi, with ACP Capital having majority control.

The vehicle entered into a third-party management agreement with NextEnergy Capital SaRL, a company founded and owned by Bonte-Friedheim and Sommadossi, to source and operate renewable energy opportunities.

Head of the Corporate Group, Nick Davis led the Mishcon team, assisted by Corporate Assistant, Clive Thomas.

ACPNE represents the first investment for ACP Capital’s planned infrastructure vehicle, ACP Capital Infrastructure, which is expected to be launched in 2008 and will invest throughout Europe in infrastructure assets such as railcars, containers, transport and renewable energy.
