Julius named most high profile solicitor

A survey by legal publishers Sweet & Maxwell has named Anthony Julius as the UK's most high profile solicitor. Julius, a senior lawyer in the Firm's Media & Public Advocacy Group, is a highly regarded litigator. His achievements include representing the American writer Deborah Lipstadt against Holocaust denier, David Irving. He successfully represented the University of Haifa and the Hebrew University in their fight against the Association of University Teachers (AUT) following its boycott resolution. He represented Diana, Princess of Wales, and is now representing Lady Heather Mills McCartney on reputation-related issues, as well as in their divorces. He is also known for acting for the former Prime Minister of Israel, Ariel Sharon, against the Independent newspaper following its publication of a notorious cartoon of him.
