Lowe settles with Associated Newspapers

We are delighted to confirm that Rupert Lowe has settled his libel action against Associated Newspapers. The action arose out of an article in David Mellor's column published in the Evening Standard on 27 August 2004.
An apology appears in Mr Mellor's column on Friday 7 April 2006, and both the paper and David Mellor have undertaken not to republish the allegations. In addition, Rupert Lowe will receive £250,000 in respect of damages and his legal costs.
Rupert Lowe was represented by Simon Gallant and Laura Tyler.
