Mishcon de Reya announces two new Partners

Mishcon de Reya is delighted to announce the recent election of Ramona Mehta and Ross Bryson to the partnership. These new promotions will take effect from 11 April 2005.
"The promotion of Ramona and Ross to the partnership brings added depth to both our corporate and litigation department.” said Mishcon de Reya's managing partner, Kevin Gold. "Their promotions underline the growing strength of the Firm and we are proud of their achievements and the contributions they have both made to the Firm and to our clients".
This announcement follows the appointment of 6 new partners, 1 Head of Planning and Environmental Law and 1 Corporate Tax Principal during the last 12 months and brings the total numbers of partners in the Firm to 44.
Details of the new partners are as follows:
Ramona Mehta
Ramona trained with Mishcon de Reya and qualified into its Litigation Department in 1998. She is a co-founder of the Firm's Media and Public Advocacy Group and specialises in defamation and breach of confidence issues. Ramona acts for both corporate and individual clients and also advises minority groups on the protection and enhancement of their public reputation in the eyes of the Press and Government bodies. Ramona is an experienced litigator and has been involved in a large number of high profile cases, representing both Claimants and Defendants.
Ross Bryson
Ross Bryson joined Mishcon de Reya's Corporate Commercial Department as an assistant in 2003. He specialises in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and re-organisations and advises on many listed company transactions including admissions, takeovers, placings, open offers and rights issues.
Ross also advises on acquisitions and disposals, private fundraisings, shareholders agreements, capital reductions and schemes of arrangement.
Ross acts for clients in a broad range of sectors (including IT, telecoms, property and media) and also numerous intermediaries.
