The Companies Act 2006 – What the Recruitment Industry Needs to Know
In response to client demand, Mishcon de Reya’s Recruitment Services Group are running this legal workshop in association with REC and Recruiter Magazine, focusing on the changes being brought in by the Companies Act 2006 (the "Act") and how these may affect companies and people operating in the recruitment industry.
Shareholders’ Rights
Jonathan Berman will speak on the enhanced rights given to shareholders under the Act.
Directors’ Duties
Kevin McCarthy will look at the changes being introduced to directors' duties on 1 October 2007 giving practical guidance as to how directors can discharge their new obligations and how, in the context of recruiting, the fears and concerns of directors might be alleviated.
Practical Changes
Nick Davis will consider the practical changes that may affect day to day operations brought in by the Act.
