The Power of the Brand Workshop & Drinks

Date: 17 April 2008

Start Time:   17.15

As brand and reputation are vital for those working in the recruitment sector, Mishcon de Reya's Recruitment Services Group, in association with REC and Recruiter magazine is delighted to hold this evening session and drinks reception at our offices, focusing on The Power of the Brand. This session, will cover issues such as: the importance of branding to the sector; practical tips on how to maintain your brand & add value to your business; and a case study on brand survival if it is attacked.

Ramona Mehta - A case study on how a brand can be saved
Ramona will be discussing a case study of a recruitment company client who placed workers in factories which made food products for well-known players in the supermarket sector. In this case, an undercover investigator had started working with the factory employees and discovered that most of them were "foreign" and so planned to air an expose of the situation on the Tonight with Trevor McDonald programme, demonstrating how “illegal immigrants” were being used. Ramona and her team, managed to tone down the programme's content and so her client suffered no bad press.

Jeremy Hertzog - How to protect your brand
Jeremy will provide tips on how best to protect your company's intellectual property. He will then discuss the best strategies you should take should your intellectual property be stolen.

Giles Thomas - Chief Operating Officer of Branded Ltd
Giles will be discussing why branding is so important to those active in the recruitment industry.

DeeDee Doke, the editor of Recruiter Magazine will be sat on the panel of experts.
