Our Corporate Commercial Department was delighted last year with the arrival of well-known India expert, Toby Greenbury, banking partner, Luke Morris, tax partner David Blumenthal and IP partner, Martyn Hann to the Firm.

Toby Greenbury

Toby GreenburyToby Greenbury, Director of International Strategy and Co-Head of the Firm’s India Desk, specialises in both domestic and international corporate finance work. Toby, who joined from Olswang, has both a UK and international client and contact base. He has focused particularly on India over the last few years, acting for a range of companies involved in trade, investment and business between the UK and India. Toby’s Indian expertise is highlighted by his instrumental involvement in bringing Great Eastern Energy Corporation to the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange (“AIM”) in 2005, which was the first Indian company to come to AIM.

Luke Morris

Luke MorrisBanking partner, Luke Morris joined the Firm from the Debt Finance Group of Macfarlanes. Luke has extensive experience in acquisition finance transactions, acting predominately for a wide range of private equity sponsors and various arrangers of acquisition finance. He also advises on general debt finance matters including refinancings, recapitalisations and structuring, security and subordination issues.

Martyn Hann

Martyn HannMartyn Hann joined from Pinsent Masons where he had been a partner since 2002. He brings with him impressive credentials in both contentious and non-contentious IP, having worked with clients across a wide range of industries including life sciences, manufacturing and retail.

David Blumenthal

David Blumenthal David Blumenthal joined the Firm as a tax partner from Dewey Ballantine, where he had been a UK tax partner since 2004. David has extensive experience in advising UK and overseas companies and financial institutions on UK taxation. In particular, on the UK tax implications of domestic and international mergers, acquisitions and spin-offs, together with financings, hybrid instruments and tax products.
