The Perils and Promises of Conflict

Conflict in all interpersonal relationships is inevitable and commonplace within the family, so for family businesses the challenge can be less about avoiding conflict and more about stopping the conflict from causing the business to meltdown. Therefore, in this type of conflict it is important that lawyers can empathise with their clients’ emotional triggers, as these are found to be what often dictate their clients’ actions.

The growing sophistication of alternative methods of dispute resolution, which emphasise legal interests over pure legal rights, also means that a lawyer not only needs full knowledge of the legal issues involved, but also a thorough understanding of behavioural science in order to help clients face difficult but unavoidable events.

We pride ourselves on our track record of providing the very best in dispute resolution services, drawing on our well-trained, highly-experienced and understanding litigators, mediators and conciliators.
