Expertise
Oliver Goodwin is the Head of Planning and Environment and is widely recognised as one of the industry’s foremost experts in planning. He is regularly highlighted in the Legal 500 as a specialist in his field and has been included in the ‘top 30’ planning lawyers in a survey by “Planning Magazine”.
Oliver advises developers, operators, funders and public sector bodies on a wide range of public and private sector projects. His expertise covers major office, retail, leisure and residential schemes as well as international urban regeneration. He has particular expertise in dealing with the planning and environmental aspects of major property and corporate transactions as well as planning agreements, applications, appeals and inquiries.
He is currently advising on a major European inward-investment tourism project of national significance. Prior to joining Mishcon de Reya, Oliver was a senior member of the Eversheds team that advised on the planning application in support of London's successful Olympic bid.
Recommended as a 'Leader in their Field' for Planning by the 2006 Chambers Guide to the UK Legal Industry.
