Expertise

Andrew Goldstone heads the Personal Tax and Estate Planning practice. He advises UK and overseas families and trustees on all aspects of personal tax, wills and trusts - both UK and offshore. His clients span all sectors and ages and include many high profile names.

Andrew also advises entrepreneurs, key executives and companies on available tax reliefs, tax efficient investments and remuneration planning. This includes approved share schemes, Enterprise Investment Schemes, Venture Capital Trusts, Business and Agricultural Property Relief and CGT Taper Relief.

He is the author of several journal articles and books on personal tax. Over the past year, Andrew has also developed a particular expertise in the new rules on the taxation of trusts and their impact on inheritance tax planning.

Career History

Andrew was articled at Lawrence Graham where he spent a further three years in the Firm's tax department. He then moved to accountancy firm RSM Robson Rhodes where he specialised in capital taxes advice for entrepreneurs. In 1998 he became the personal tax and business adviser to property developer Peter Freeman. Soon after, he was asked to set up Freeman Business Information plc where he held the post of managing director for four years. Andrew joined Mishcon de Reya in 2003.
