Expertise
Alexandra is a member of the Media and Public Advocacy Group. She has particular experience working with interest groups, non-profits and charities, providing legal focus to campaigns. She advises clients on all aspects of international human rights law, including freedom of expression, privacy, the right to a fair trial and prohibitions on torture and genocide. She also advises individuals and corporates on reputation issues. Her practice includes pre and post-publication advice and Internet-related issues.
Alexandra also has experience as a general commercial litigator acting for both claimant and defendant. In addition to her work in the High Court, she is able to advise in relation to arbitration proceedings.
Key Experience and Clients
- Advised Israeli universities and AUT members following the passing of AUT resolutions advocating an academic boycott of Israel. The boycott (which was later described as "a significant threat to the free communication of ideas and thus to the fundamental principles of academic freedom") was successfully overturned.
- Assisted the Parliamentary Committee Against Antisemitism in the preparation and publication of the All-Party Parliamentary Inquiry into Antisemitism in the UK report.
